Getaway Day is back at the Allianz Riviera on 18 May 2022

Getaway Day is back for the 3rd year at the Allianz Riviera. The stadium is ready to welcome some 800 children from healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, medical education institutes, special education and homecare services (SESSAD) and patient associations), together with their families, from 10 am to 5 pm for a fun-filled day of sports and activities organised by the Premiers de Cordée association.

 
On the agenda:
 
> Presentation and initiation in over 15 sports activities: football, tennis, boxing, climbing, handball, karate, table tennis, and even baseball and tandem. The activities are run by some 50 qualified sports instructors and as many volunteers working with the association to ensure the day runs smoothly for all involved. 
 
> A backstage tour of the Allianz Riviera: see the players’ tunnel and locker rooms, view the pitch from the sidelines and visit the National Sports Museum
     
> Meet & greet with champions
Thanks to the support of OGC Nice and its Endowment Fund, a former pro football player will be present at the event. Champions from local professional clubs (rugby, handball) will also be on hand to share their experience with the children. 
 
> Many partners actively support the event: the City of Nice, the OGC Nice Endowment Fund, the National Sports Museum, the National Sport Agency, Vinci, the Fondation Vinci pour la Cité, Breitling, Colgate-Palmolive, the Fondaction L’Équipe, LU, Eurocom, Axians and more.
